Google will let you pay with cryptocurrencies for your cloud services | Digital Trends Spanish

Google is proposing a revolution in payments within its platforms for its cloud services, since it announced that from now on they will be able to pay with cryptocurrencies and specifically with coinbase.

Coinbase for its part said it would turn to Google’s cloud infrastructure.

The Google Cloud Platform infrastructure service will initially accept cryptocurrency payments from a handful of customers in the Web3 world who want to pay with cryptocurrencies, thanks to an integration with the Coinbase Commerce service, said Amit Zavery, vice president and general manager and head of platform. of Google Cloud, in an interview with CNBC.

Over time, Google will allow many more customers to make payments with cryptocurrencies, Zavery said. Coinbase Commerce supports 10 currencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. The prices of Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum have decreased by more than 60% in the last year.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. But like other Coinbase Trade deals, Coinbase will earn a percentage of transactions that go through it, said Jim Migdal, Vice President of Business Development at Coinbase.
