The Cabinet Council approved the validity of the scheme of the contributions of the Western Rate Fund and the extraordinary contributions to the Rate Stabilization Fund (FET), with the purpose of avoiding an increase in the electricity tariff of thousands of Panamanians.
The draft Cabinet Resolution 132-21 that extends the validity of the scheme adopted by the State through Cabinet Resolution 107 of December 29, 2020 in concept of the contributions of the Western Tariff Fund (FTO) huntil December 31, 2022, received the approval of the council of ministers.
On the other hand, Cabinet resolution 133-21 was approved that adds numeral 12 to article 1 of Cabinet Resolution 60 of June 23, 2015 and its amendments, by which it authorizes the National Authority of Public Services (ASEP) to extend the implementation of the scheme that will be adopted in a manner temporary by the State in respect of Extraordinary Contributions to the Rate Stabilization Fund (FET) due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, the consensus of the ministers of state was also received on the Draft Cabinet Resolution 134-21 that atests the use of frequency band segments, previously authorized by Asep to mobile companies, free of charge, from January 1 to April 30, 2022, to continue strengthening and supporting the different plans and special educational programs announced by the National Government.
