Hard Rock will open the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella in June 2022 with Stoneweg and Bain Capital Credit

Hard Rock Hotels has announced its project for the new Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, former Andalusia Plaza Hotel, located in the heart of Puerto Banús (Malaga). The hotel was acquired last June by Stoneweg SW, a real estate investment firm in Spain, in association with Bain Capital Credit from the H10 group.

The reform, approved and licensed by the Marbella town hall, will be complete and the new Hard Rock Hotel will go from 400 rooms to 384, including 50 suites. The completion of the works and the inauguration of the new complex are scheduled for June 2022.

“After the highly anticipated opening of Hard Rock Hotel Madrid this past summer, and the continued success of Hard Rock Ibiza and Tenerife, we are delighted to welcome another beautiful property in Spain to the Hard Rock Hotel portfolio and showcase the continued growth of the brand in the country and around the world, “said Todd Hricko, senior vice president of Hotel Development for Hard Rock Hotels. “We have long had our eyes set on the beautiful region of the Costa del Sol and we are confident that the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella will shine in the market,” he said.

The decoration of the rooms and public spaces of the hotel will reflect the distinctive aesthetic of Hard Rock, although a mix will be sought that reflects the important artistic culture of Spain. In fact, Hard Rock advertises that it is actively searching for bespoke hotel memorabilia from celebrated Spanish artists of music, dance and art, in order to create an authentic guest experience that reflects both the hotel’s location and its location. such as the renowned Hard Rock Memorabilia Collection, which has more than 86,000 items.

The hotel will have six gastronomic establishments. On the top floor, a rooftop terrace will house a VIP bar and a large swimming pool with extensive views of Playa Nueva Andalucía. There will also be a spa and wellness center with a heated indoor pool, a gym and a Rock Spa® with six treatment rooms, a sauna and a relaxation room. In addition, the hotel’s meeting and event space will be one of the largest in the Marbella market.

For his part, Miguel Casas, general manager of Stoneweg Hospitality, stated that the objective is to make the new hotel a reference on the Costa del Sol. “We are very happy to bring the Hard Rock Hotels brand to the Hotel Andalucía Plaza. We have always been clear about that the Hard Rock brand aligns perfectly with the markets of the Costa del Sol and Marbella. The location of the hotel in Puerto Banús, combined with the benefits of capital investments, make this property a benchmark of style of life for the Costa del Sol that will exceed the expectations of our future guests “, he said.
