Harrison Ford is injured while filming Indiana Jones 5 | Digital Trends Spanish

In accordance with a Deadline article, Harrison Ford will have to take a break from filming Indiana Jones 5 after sustaining an injury to the man during the recordings.

A spokesman for the Walt Disney Co. said the 78-year-old actor injured himself rehearsing a fight scene.

Although, for now, the extent of the injury is unknown, the production directed by James Mangold will continue its filming accommodating itself to this new scenario and could change the filming plan in the coming days.

“In the course of rehearsals for a fight scene, Harrison Ford suffered a shoulder injury. Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as necessary in the coming weeks, ”the studio noted.

The filming of this fifth installment of the saga began in early June in the United Kingdom. The film is expected to be released in July 2022.

In addition to Harrison Ford, the cast of the film is completed by Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson and Thomas Kretschmann.

This would not be the first accident suffered by Ford while filming a movie. In 2014, the actor broke his leg on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) when he was crushed by a heavy door from the Millennium Falcon at Pinewood Studios in London.

Indiana Jones has become one of the most representative characters in adventure and action films. The saga debuted since 1981 and, since then, all four films had been directed by Steven Spielberg.
