Spain continues to add COVID infections, although the average incidence in those over 60 and the number of patients admitted to hospitals has decreased since Tuesday. Health has registered 72,704 infections this Friday, a slight rebound compared to the 41,683 in the previous report.

This Friday those hospitalized with coronavirus drop again, and the number stands at 10,489, which translates into an occupancy of 8.74%, a drop of almost a thousand patients compared to the last update from the Ministry. The ICUs also registered a decrease in their occupancy of infected patients, with 5.91% of the beds occupied. On July 12, Health registered a hospital occupancy rate of 10.58%, and from that moment the percentage has registered a continuous decrease, after rising from 6% at the end of June.
The deaths from coronavirus stand at 545 people, so there are already 110,187 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
On the other hand, the incidence in people over 60 years of age falls below the barrier of one thousand cases for the first time since the beginning of July and stands at 858.24 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
