We have seen constructions of PC using vintage radios and even concrete, but now we’ve found a guy who built a PC out of his microwave. You have read well. Despite all the warnings about putting metal in a microwave, someone put an entire computer in there.
Jake Lucky posted a video on his Twitter of a Brazilian man building this PC monstrosity after losing his job. The video shows a guy opening a run-of-the-mill microwave door to reveal a GPU, fans, and motherboard, all illuminated by RGB lighting.
A man in Brazil who lost his job during COVID decided to make a microwave PC in order to save money

“What’s really cool?” Lucky explains in his tweet thread. “His girlfriend gave him the money to do the construction while she was looking for work.”
“I am now actively working with a computer company to get them a dual microwave PC setup to match their dual microwave setup :),” he adds.
There isn’t much information about the build itself except that it cost $900. PC Gamer guessed that most likely an Asus A320M-K motherboard, given the brief glimpse of it in the video and its price. We’re not sure how the man who built it is able to control the temperatures inside the microwave. Those things are designed to carefully control airflow and you won’t find many vents on a microwave oven.
Lucky continues his thread with a call for people to send him photos of their craziest PC builds. Some of what goes in is absolutely glorious. A person named Trop showed off his wooden PC case, while Linus Tech Tips responded, “If this Tweet gets 1 like, I’ll build a PC.” It got 14,000 likes.
