Hisopado in the Rod Carew and Emilio Royo resume operations

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that at 7 am the swabbing stations in the Rod Carew and Emilio Royo de Juan Díaz stadiums resumed their activities to provide the service to people who require testing or who have symptoms related to Covid-19.

Likewise, the Minsa reminds the population that this Monday, November 8, the vaccination process will restart at the points enabled throughout the country, to continue advancing with the strategy contemplated in the Operation PanavaC-19.

Updated epidemiological report

In the world there have been 248,830,725 accumulated positive cases for Covid-19 and 5,033,849 deaths for a fatality percentage of 2%.

While in Panama there are 464,161 recovered patients, 94 new positive cases, for a cumulative total of 473,183.

3,025 tests were applied and a positivity percentage of 3.7% is maintained.

In the last 24 hours, 1 death was registered, for a total of 7,322 accumulated and a fatality of 1.5%.

Active cases number 1,700. In home isolation, 1,554 are reported, of which 1,477 are at home and 77 in hotels. There are 146 hospitalized and 116 of them are in the ward and 30 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The Minsa invites the entire population to DO NOT LOWER YOUR GUARD and continue applying biosecurity measures: the use of a mask, alcoholic gel, a face shield in public passenger transport, hand washing, physical distancing and the use of alcohol.

In case of symptoms related to the virus, the person should go immediately for medical attention and undergo a Covid-19 test.
