Hospitalized patients with COVID rebound and the incidence among those over 60 years of age grows

The number of patients with coronavirus hospitalized in intensive care units continues to decline: this Tuesday it stands at 368, which represents a decrease from 371 on Friday. The rest of those hospitalized with coronavirus decreased to 4,779, with an occupancy rate of 3.87%.

All this in a day in which the Ministry of Health has registered 34,727 new cases of coronavirus since Friday, which brings the total number of confirmed infections since March 2020 according to official records to 11,662,214. By communities, Galicia is the region with the most new positives, diagnosing 4,347 more. After her, Catalonia (4,249) and Castilla y León (4,175) are located.

In addition, 162 new deaths have been added, so there are already 103,266 people who have died with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. Of the total deaths, 161 have occurred in the last week.

Regarding the incidence of coronavirus for those over 60 years of age, in this Tuesday’s report, Health places it at 435.42 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. This represents a rise compared to Friday, when it scored 420.17 points.
