The tweet scheduling tool is only available on the web version of Twitter, so don’t waste time searching for it on your smartphone. You simply won’t find it. So if you want to schedule tweets, put your cell phone aside and stand in front of your computer.
To schedule a post on Twitter, you need to follow the same process that you use to create a new tweet. Thus, the first step is to press the button Tweet, located in the left menu of the platform.
When the screen is displayed to write a new tweet, you must press the button Programming, represented by a calendar and clock icon. (If you prefer, you can write your message, although you can also do it later).
On the next screen you will see the programming interface. In addition to the day, month and year, you can indicate the exact hour and minute you want the tweet to be published. The “Time Zone” corresponds to that of your computer, so if you want to see other zones, you must adjust the time on your computer. Once you are done, press the button Confirm.
If you have not done it previously, you can write your message in the usual way; that is, you can include links, photos, GIFs, and emoticons. When you’re done, press the button Programming. That’s it, you already have your first tweet scheduled.
The process for reviewing a scheduled tweet is not as user-friendly as we would like. And is that if you want to review pending publications, you must press the button Tweet, as if you wanted to make a new post. On the pop-up screen, press the Programming.
Within the programming interface, go to the bottom of the box and press the option Scheduled Tweets to view all pending posts.
On the next screen, tap the message you want to modify. For this task, don’t consider the button Edit, located on the top.
Now you can make the necessary adjustments to the text, in case you have made a mistake or want to supplement it with more recent information. Then press the button Programming, to modify the time and / or date of publication.
When you have confirmed the date and time of publication, press the button To update to finish the process. Twitter will show you the updated list of scheduled tweets.
To delete a tweet that has not yet been published, you must repeat the creation process and press the button Programming, as if you were to prepare a new scheduled message. Inside the interface, press the button Edit.
Select the check box next to the messages you want to delete and press the button. Remove, located at the bottom of the screen.
On the next screen, confirm that you want to delete unsent tweets. Remember that this is a process that you cannot undo.
