How to use AirDrop on Mac and share your information | Digital Trends Spanish


AirDrop is one of Apple’s most useful features for its ecosystem, as it allows you to wirelessly send files between your Apple devices, regardless of whether they are documents, photos and videos. Make sure AirDrop is turned on

Before you can use AirDrop, you need to make sure it’s turned on.

Step 1: Open Finder and select AirDrop in the top left of the sidebar. You can also activate it by pressing Command + Space and typing “AirDrop” in Spotlight.

Step 2: Once you’re in the AirDrop menu, you should see blue text at the bottom that says allow myself to be discovered by. Press the blue down arrow to the right of this text and select Everyone or Only contacts. The latter is the safest option if you don’t want unsolicited files in public.

Step 3Note: If you’ve already verified that AirDrop is turned on, you should see a few options appear, in case there’s an Apple device nearby with AirDrop enabled.

Drag and drop files into AirDrop

Step 1: With the AirDrop window open, open another Finder by hovering over the Finder icon, clicking with two fingers, and selecting New Finder window.

Step 2: In the new Finder window, find the file you want to send and drag it into the AirDrop window. Hover the file over the icon of the team you want to send it to and drop it. The file should automatically be sent to that device, and the user can accept or reject it.

Step 3: Alternatively, if the file is on your desktop, you can just drag and drop it into the AirDrop menu.

If dragging and dropping is too much of a hassle, there’s an easier way. In the Finder window, hover over the file you want to share and click with two fingers. scroll down to Share and then select air drop in the submenu.

A new window will appear showing the potential devices. Select which one you want to AirDrop to, and the file should be sent automatically.

If you have the file open in front of you, you can usually AirDrop from there. If you’re viewing a document or photo in Preview, you can find the button Share at the top center of the window. It looks like a square with an arrow pointing out.
