Among the four series of laptops that Huawei has, it presents a new MateBook for the Mexican market, which stands out for its FullView screen (2.5K resolution), its 90 Hz refresh rate and for being prepared for Windows 11 .
The MateBook 13s is the one that arrives in Mexico (the firm also has the new MateBook 14s) and is aimed at solving productivity and entertainment tasks.
“We thought it for users who are looking for equipment with high specifications and a great design, as well as outstanding autonomy and resistance. There are people who want robust laptops, although they are not necessarily going to use them for content creation tasks, ”said Carlos Morales, director of Public Relations at Huawei Mobile Latin America.
The notebook incorporates the 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, quad audio system (Huawei Sound), 1.5mm key travel, high performance mode, improved Huawei Shark Fin fan system for more efficient ventilation and silent, and 16 GB RAM.
With all this, people can expect optimal performance when running productivity and entertainment platforms, from Office to Netflix, for example. Also, the equipment is compatible with the Wi-Fi 6 standard with the intention of having a more effective internet connection.
Nor does it disappoint in autonomy. Thanks to its 65 watt pocket charger (ready for cell phones and tablets compatible with Huawei SuperCharge) you get up to 2.5 hours with a 15 minute charge.
Regarding video calls, it includes an HD camera located at the top of the screen (not on the keyboard) and four microphones located on the edges. Huawei claims that the MateBook 13s incorporates the industry’s first personal voice enhancement technology, which eliminates ambient noise and intensifies speech.
The display 13.4-inch, with an aspect ratio of 3: 2, it is multi-touch: 10 points for the purpose of making users more efficient in handling tasks, and is distinguished by its brightness of 400 nits. It also integrates TÜV Rheinland certifications in order to offer greater eye protection.
And to expand connectivity options, the notebook can be directly integrated with a smartphone Huawei to project its interface on the computer, a tablet to use it as an external monitor or a large-format screen, without the need for cables.
Equipped with a 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD, the MateBook 13s has a metallic finish and weighs around 1.32kg.
Huawei will have a special presale of the MateBook 13s in Mexico, from October 7 to 13. Will be in the online store from the manufacturer with a price of 30,000 pesos and will include a Sound X speaker, a leather case and a CD23 mouse. With the same cost and the same extra accessories, it can be purchased in the firm’s physical stores, from October 14 to 31.
The laptop will arrive in department stores starting November 15, also at a cost of 30,000 pesos.
