Hulu has just presented The Valet, the new movie starring Eugenio Derbez (CODA). The tape was directed by Richard Wong and should hit streaming on May 20. Part of its cast also includes Samara Weaving (Nine Perfect Strangers), Max Greenfield (New Girl), and Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad).
The team behind the film has also shared the official synopsis:
“In The Valet, world-famous movie star Olivia (Samara Weaving) is faced with a publicity disaster when a paparazzi captures a photograph of her and her lover, Vincent (Max Greenfield), a married man. Antonio (Eugenio Derbez), an excellent valet employee, accidentally appears in the same photograph, so they hire him to pretend to be Olivia’s new boyfriend and thus cover up for her.
From what can be seen in this first preview, The Valet also has an important element of comedy.
“This situation with Olivia throws Antonio into the public eye, generating unexpected chaos. In this romantic comedy, two worlds and cultures collide as Olivia and Antonio begin to get to know each other more deeply than ever before. »
The Valet was written by Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher and is the English production of the successful French version of the same name. Derbez, who has just succeeded with CODA in the last Oscars, also performs functions as executive producer.
For its part, the cast also includes Carmen Salinas Lozano, Amaury Nolasco, Marisol Nichols, Diany Rodríguez, Tiana Okoye, John Pirrucello, Ravi Patel and Noemí González.
Depending on the territory, The Valet will be released on Hulu, Disney Plus and Star Plus platforms.
