Hundreds of men assault a woman who was recording videos for TikTok in Pakistan



A mob of hundreds of men attacked, stripped and threw a TikTok user into the air in a park in the city of Lahore, in Pakistan, last week, a new incident of violence against women that has raised indignation in the Asian country.

Although the episode took place last week, it has come to light after the video was made. viral in Pakistan and the incident has even been addressed by the prime minister, Imran Jan, with the Punjab authorities. “The Government will not forgive a single person involved,” Jan’s adviser, Said Zulfiqar Bujari, has indicated in his account on the social network Twitter.

The viral video shows hundreds of men attacking the woman, who had come to the park in question with four friends to celebrate Pakistani Independence Day.

The Police have already opened investigations against 400 men that assaulted the woman, who was filming videos for TikTok during her stay at the site when hordes of men of all ages jumped over a fence and attacked her.

The victim has told the police that the men touched her, tore her clothes, beat her and threw her into the air. What’s more, they stole 15,000 rupees (about 80 euros), the mobile, a gold ring and some earrings.

Removing the hundreds of men, many of whom just stood still and even recorded video, only one person came to rescue the woman and helped her out of the park.

The spokesman for the Government of Punjab, Fayazul Hasán Chohan, has transferred that all those involved are being identified thanks to the recording and has called the incident “shameful”, as indicated in a statement collected by Geo TV.
