Iberia has gone taking its staff out of file of temporary employment regulation (ERTE) throughout the month of December to ensure continuity of operations, with only 4% in ERTE at the end of the month.
This has been confirmed by company sources to Europa Press, who have added that the workers who have been necessary for operations in the middle of the sixth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic with the omicron variant have been disaffected from the ERTE.
In the case of crews -includes both cabin and technical- at the beginning of December, ERTE workers amounted to 17%, while at the end of the month it fell to 4%, a percentage that could vary depending on the fleet. In addition, the airline is reinforcing the workforce to cover incidents.
However, lThe company has not had to cancel any connection for the moment, as reported by ‘Expansión’, unlike other large airlines.
