“We will agree that a priority is to invest European funds well and quickly,” Illa snapped during Wednesday’s control session in Parliament. The socialist has reproached the Government for some investment figures that he considers “low” and has asked what he plans to do to improve his management.
“We would have liked to have been able to say something about the management of European funds”, the president replied. Aragonès has blamed the delays on the state bureaucracy and has lamented that “they are not allowed to participate” in the sectoral conferences. However, the president has recalled that the investment in Catalonia of these funds is in “the high range”.
elDiario.es published that, of the 1,576 million that the State has paid to the Generalitat to start opening competitions for subsidies and contract tenders (the two formulas through which this financing is accessed), they have only reached Catalan business fabric 182 million euros. Aragonès has told Illa not to worry because the execution “is going well”.
