COVID cases continue to decline in Spain. The Ministry of Health has reported 13,582 new infections, a figure lower than the 14,373 recorded on Tuesday. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 13,294,139 people have been infected in Spain.

How is the epidemic evolving and how are we regarding the 3rd wave?

The number of people hospitalized has decreased significantly, standing at 5,402 patients this Friday, if we take into account that there were 6,043 registered on Tuesday. The number of people who have had to be admitted to the ICU has also decreased: 369 compared to 392 in the previous report.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, 111,667 deaths from COVID have been reported. The ministry led by Carolina Darias has recorded 236 deaths since last Tuesday.
The incidence has also decreased in those over 60 years of age. It has gone from 336.05 per 100,000 inhabitants on Tuesday to 283.38 this Friday.
