Instagram is constantly changing the way posts are displayed in the feed. In the Meta social network, they assure that they are concerned that users always have more options to access this type of content.
Now, the platform makes a new modification and launches two new ways to see the latest published content. These are “Favorites” and “Followed”, which can be chosen by the user. That is, the person will be able to select how they want the posts to be displayed in the feed.
If the user opts for favorites, they will be able to add a list of up to 50 specific accounts of friends or favorite creators, whose posts will appear at the top of the feed. These accounts will be highlighted and can be easily distinguished by appearing with a star icon.
This list is individual and customizable, which means that the person can modify it at any time; those contacts you add or remove will not receive any notification for this action.
On the other hand, if the “Followed” option is chosen, the publications of the accounts that the user follows will be displayed in the order in which they were shared. On Instagram they explain that both “Favorites” and “Following” will display the posts in chronological order.
In this sense, in December 2021 Adam Mosseri, director of this social network, acknowledged his intention to recover the chronological feed on the platform. This change begins to be implemented from Wednesday March 23 and is expected to be available to all users in the coming days.
