Reports indicate that Intel (NASDAQ:), one of the largest manufacturers of computer processors, intends to reveal a new “ultra-low-voltage, energy-efficient mining ASIC” known as the Bonanza Mine at the upcoming International Circuit Conference. IEEE Solid State Test in February 2022.

Intel filed a patent in November 2018 outlining similar ideas for “high-performance Bitcoin mining.” It is suspected that the processes described in the patent could lead to the product that will be shown at the ISSCC.

According to the patent, the ASIC behind Bonanza Mine will be able to finish calculations as efficiently as other ASICs, while eliminating the need for repeated or redundant calculations. This system is proposed to reduce total energy consumption by approximately 15%.
