International is yet another to enter the cryptocurrency market

Sport Club Internacional is yet another to enter the cryptocurrency market, as announced this Monday (20).

In recent months, the entry of clubs around the world into the cryptocurrency market has exploded, mainly with the so-called fan tokens. These tokens make it possible for clubs to list a product that brings them closer to fans.

In addition, it allows fans of a club to send it cryptocurrencies, in exchange for benefiting from voting on small, everyday decisions.

It is worth remembering that in Brazil Atlético Mineiro, Corinthians, Flamengo and São Paulo have already launched fan tokens in partnership with the Socios platform, with Palmeiras announcing in recent days that it will also carry out such a move.

Santos, another major player in the State of São Paulo, launched its fan token with Binance, with Cruzeiro being another one that launched it with a lesser-known Brazilian platform in the market.

One of the biggest clubs in Rio Grande do Sul is about to launch a new feature for its fans soon.

Sport Club Internacional, in partnership with Chiliz, the leading blockchain providers to the sports and entertainment industry, has announced that it will launch its $SACI Fan Token“.

According to a statement, $SACI Fan Token holders will be able to have their say in a number of decisions, such as kit designs, squad numbers for new hires, celebration songs, inspirational messages and other topics related to fans, by voting in polls binding on

The name of the token was chosen in honor of the club’s mascot, Saci-Pererê, an icon of Brazilian folklore. For Alessandro Barcellos, president of Sport Club Internacional, the team could not ignore the market trend.

“We are constantly looking for new ways to bring the club and team closer to the fans and we are certain that this partnership will bring us many benefits in a short period of time. The company Socios has made important partnerships with the Brazilian football market and recently opened an office in São Paulo to be closer to the partner teams.

A new feature of this launch of Internacional’s fan token will also be the drawing of an autographed club shirt, which is available to the club’s Twitter followers.

The release of the Internacional fan token was announced after a season of the club in the professional, eliminated in the round of 16 of the Libertadores and only reaching the 12th classification of the Brazilian Championship.
