iPhone 13: everything we know about its price and availability in Mexico | Digital Trends Spanish

All set for Apple to unveil what will be its flagship phones for the remainder of the year and the first three quarters of 2022. If the rumors are consolidated, the new series would bring improvements in sections such as screen, performance and optics. But what can you expect regarding to price and availability in Mexico of the iPhone 13?

As a context, the Californian company has a market share of 11.3 percent in the Aztec country, which places it in fourth place, behind firms such as Samsung, Motorola and Huawei, according to The Competitive Intelligence Unit.

Although these data correspond to the first quarter of 2021, the consulting firm indicates that the Cupertino manufacturer maintains its customary standards: “The purchasing power barriers have kept it at a stable preference level for several years.”

There are few reports that suggest that the new family of iPhone 13 will have a price increase, and even transcends that it will be the most expensive series to date.

The health crisis that exploded in 2020 continues to take its toll on component manufacturers’ production lines, resulting in chip shortages for the entire international electronics industry. It also means an increase in the price of some parts … Then, part of that cost will end up impacting, surely, in the pocket of the end users.

In any case, due to factors such as market size, taxes and even logistics, a considerable increase in the new iPhones in Mexico can already be expected.

In some similar storage versions there was an increase of at least $ 2,000 Mexican pesos (about $ 100 dollars) between the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 series. For example, the 256 GB iPhone 11 Pro was listed at $ 28,500 pesos, while the 12 Pro with the same space reached $ 30,500 pesos.

If the information of the trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo comes true – who says that the two base models of iPhone 13 will start at 128GB (goodbye 64GB!), While the Pro will have a starting storage of 256 GB—, in Mexico there may no longer even be a new Apple phone for under $ 20,000 pesos (around $ 1,000).

Based on the above and without ceasing to be a simple speculation, these could be the entry prices of the new iPhone 13 in the Aztec country:

  • iPhone 13 Mini: $ 23,500 pesos (128 GB)
  • iPhone 13: $ 26,000 pesos (128 GB)
  • iPhone 13 Pro: $ 32,500 pesos (256 GB)
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max: $ 35,000 pesos (256 GB)

If Apple’s mobile parts were already impossible for some, everything indicates that the new ones will climb a step higher, one unattainable for most Mexican users.

Regarding the availability of the iPhone 13 in Mexico, the pre-sale may begin a few days after its official announcement on September 14, as those of Cupertino are used to. However, that does not mean that they will quickly reach the hands of users.

Yep! iPhone 13 Pre-Orders Starting September 17th, Launch on September 24th

For what it’s worth, we are corroborating these dates. ☝️

It should not be forgotten that with the iPhone 12 – which were also marked by the pandemic – there was a staggered arrival. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro first arrived in October 2020 (the same month of the presentation), while in November, the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

We just have to wait for Tim Cook to take the stage to show “the best iPhone that the company has created to date.”
