Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates astronomy with its latest watches | Digital Trends Spanish

With 189 years of history, Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the most important and respected watchmakers on the planet. Despite its long tradition, this company is also known for its innovative character in the field of watchmaking.

His latest release was presented at Watches & Wonders 2022 in Geneva and is called The Star Odyssey. It is a line that is designed for lovers of astronomy. The main watch in this collection is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Hybris Artistica Caliber 945, an accessory that combines a celestial vault and a zodiacal calendar.

It is a new artistic interpretation of Caliber 945, which reproduces on the wrist “the magnificence of the constellations and the fascinating sidereal time”. Sidereal time is a timekeeping system used by astronomers to locate celestial objects.

“This year, on its stellar odyssey around the world, the Manufacture will share creations inspired by the sky and will capture the wonders of the celestial universe in artistic installations and immersive experiences”, explained Catherine Réiner, CEO of the watchmaking firm.

The Master Hybris Artistica Caliber 945 is available in two variants: the “Galaxia”, in pink gold, and the “Atomium”, in white gold, both with different dial treatments. In the Galaxia, for example, the outer part of the dome that makes up the dial shows a representation of planets in greyish enamel.

For its part, Atomium presents a silver metal matrix that recalls the lines that join the stars to form constellations and the atomic structure of exotic space metals.
