Justice supports the new measures of the Valencian regional executive in the face of the rebound in cases as a result of the delta variant of COVID-19.
The fourth section of the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the TSJ-CV has issued an order that authorizes the Government of Ximo Puig to establish a curfew between 1:00 and 6:00 in the 32 municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants with the highest risk spread of the virus.
The new measures also limit meetings to 10 people in the private and public spheres. The endorsement of the Contentious Chamber comes after the approval of the Prosecutor’s Office of the TSJ-CV.
The restrictions, which must be endorsed by the court by limiting fundamental rights, join those decreed by the Consell and which came into force last Thursday, such as the closure of nightlife venues at 0.30 hours, which they can only function as bars and cafes; the closure of the hotel business at 0.30 am, with a limitation of six people per table inside and 10 outside, and a reduction in capacity from 4,000 to 3,000 people outdoors and from 3,000 to 2,000 people indoors for mass shows . Popular festivals are still prohibited. All these measures will be maintained until July 25.
