The interventions of the National Board of Directors of the PP will be behind closed doors
The National Board of Directors of the PP this Tuesday will be behind closed doors. The interventions of the political leaders at the meeting that will decide the convocation in April of an extraordinary congress will not be broadcast openly and journalists will not be able to follow them live, as announced by the party in a statement.
It will therefore be a hermetic conclave, in a hotel north of Madrid, from which the call will come out in April and predictably in Seville for the extraordinary congress that will put an end to Pablo Casado’s mandate at the head of the party and that will consecrate the new leader of the Conservatives , after the crisis unleashed two weeks ago.
That new leader will most likely be the president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. That is how the majority of regional leaders have dropped it so far, who have shown their support, although the Galician baron said yesterday that he will not make a decision on the matter until after today’s meeting.
All the details about the transition from the PP to the extraordinary congress.

Health and communities resume their meetings this Tuesday with the end of the quarantines on the table
The elimination of quarantines for all close contacts arrives this Tuesday at the meeting of the Public Health Commission, which, like the Interterritorial Council, resumes its meetings this week to study the management of the COVID pandemic.
After a week without a meeting call and with the public debate on the elimination of quarantines open for weeks, the Ministry of Health and the health technicians of the communities will study the definitive abolition of all isolations, after months were eliminated back those established for vaccinated people -who were asked to limit their activity for ten days-.
With the sixth wave descending -although without updated data since last Friday due to technical problems- and a vaccination rate throughout the country that exceeds 92% among those over 12 years of age, Catalonia has already anticipated the Commission and last Wednesday abolished school quarantines.
In addition, it stopped counting the infections that occur in schools, with the exception of special education centers.

The PP meets today the National Board of Directors to convene the extraordinary congress from which the new leadership will emerge
The PP, through its National Board of Directors, today formalizes the call for the extraordinary XX National Congress, in which on April 2 and 3 Pablo Casado will be relieved, who leaves the leadership after the unprecedented crisis to the that led his clash with Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
The around 400 members that make up the National Board of Directors, including presidents of autonomous communities, deputies, senators, MEPs and organic positions, will convene a conclave in which the majority of the leaders expect Alberto Núñez Feijóo to take the reins of the party .
The president of the Xunta de Galicia has not, however, taken the step and it will be from Wednesday when he confirms if he presents his candidacy, as Pablo Casado and practically all the barons of the formation have asked him and as the majority of the popular ones take for granted.
Feijóo will wait for the 20th Congress to be officially convened this Tuesday, which Casado announced last Tuesday, after losing his support both in his leadership and among the territorial leaders of his formation and even in the Congress of Deputies and after thousands of Díaz Ayuso’s followers asked for his resignation at the doors of the headquarters.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, begins the term to present candidatures. It cannot be ruled out that there is more than one, since it is only necessary to obtain the approval of a hundred affiliates, but within the PP no weight lists are expected, once Díaz Ayuso distanced himself from the process.
