LEGO pays a beautiful tribute to the Atari 2600 | Digital Trends Spanish

On August 1, the iconic company Atari will be 50 years old and possibly there is no greater tribute than the one paid to him LEGOemulating the classic 2600 model with 2,532 parts for the 1980 version (not the 1977 debut console).

“The Atari 2600 was one of the most memorable gifts I received as a child,” said Lego designer Chris McVeigh in a press release. “That’s why it’s been such an incredible experience to bring together two icons, Atari and Lego, in this incredible ensemble. We hope that building this classic console will take you back to those days when a handful of pixels meant a world of adventure.”

The set also includes a trio of game cartridges based on the games classic asteroids, Adventure Y Centipedewhich can be placed on the Lego console itself.

Fantastically, the console also opens up to reveal a diorama of a 1980s living room.

It will be available on August 1 for $239.99 and coincides with Atari’s 50th anniversary.
