Despite the fact that this year the MWC 2021 is going to be celebrated in a somewhat unusual way due to the large number of announced casualties, many brands are taking advantage of their celebration to present their new products as they would have done within the framework of the event. One such brand is Lenovo, who today unveiled its new ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4, a powerful laptop that has no waste.
The computer is 17.7mm thick and weighs 1.81kg. It has a 16-inch screen with 4K resolution and has a brightness of up to 600 nits. Its design remains in line with previous models and of course, its keyboard includes the classic red TrackPoint.
Performance is handled by Intel Core i9 H vPro processors with up to 64GB RAM (LPDDR4) and internal storage for up to two 2TB SS drives. For graphics there are options with Intel Iris Xe and with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090. Models with an NVIDIA RTX graphics card have a vapor chamber and two fans for cooling.
It has support for WiFi 6E and optional 5G connectivity. It has a FullHD webcam, USB, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and HDMI 2.1. It also has two noise-canceling microphones, two Dolby Atmos speakers, and there’s a model with a nanoSIM card tray. The new Lenovo laptop can be purchased from August 2021. At the moment the company has only confirmed the prices of the most basic version that will be in Spain of 2,099 euros.
