Technology has allowed us to keep abreast of Russia’s attack on Ukraine. The conflict has worsened in recent days and can even be seen from space, as shown by the series of satellite images shared by the Maxar Technologies company, which show the advance of Russian vehicles on Ukrainian territory.
In the records you can see a section north of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, which extends for about 64 kilometers. Thus, Russian military vehicles are perceived as small black dots or ants on the field.
According to Maxar Technologies, additional movements of ground forces and ground-attack helicopter units were also observed in southern Belarus, less than 20 miles north of the Ukrainian border.
The military convoy practically stretches from the Antonov air base, located several kilometers north of Kiev, to the outskirts of Pribyrsk. This row of vehicles includes armored trucks, tanks, and other cars belonging to Russian troops.
In the high resolution images you can also see buildings, houses and various buildings on fire, which show the destruction left by the invading forces during the journey.
The Maxar company has also provided images of various news events. One of the most recent was the eruption of the submarine volcano Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha’apai on the island of Tonga, which caused a tsunami warning in several countries on the Pacific coast and which could also be observed from space.
