Amazon Prime Video announced that June 17 is the release date for Los Tigres del Norte: Stories to tella documentary that offers fans an intimate and never-before-seen look at one of the most iconic and popular groups in the regional Mexican music scene.
The film breaks the norms of a music documentary, charting the rise of the band from its humble beginnings, its journey as immigrants in California, and its incredible rise to become one of the most important regional Mexican music groups in Mexico and the United States. The film is a story of success, hard work, resilience, and the value of family.
“In Prime Video we bet on exceptional creators to build unparalleled stories, and we are very excited to be the home of the history of one of the most recognized bands in Mexico, Los Tigres del Norte”, said Alonso Aguilar, who leads the Amazon Originals Mexico team, Prime Video. “Together with Filmadora and with the direction of Carlos Pérez Osorio, we tell a story that comes from a fundamental part of Mexico’s DNA, and we are sure that our Prime Video customers will love it.”
“We are very excited to be able to share the efforts of the entire team that contributed to telling part of the history of a group as important as Los Tigres del Norte. It has been an honor to have the confidence of the group and I hope that their story inspires as many people as it has inspired me”, added producer José Nacif.
Los Tigres del Norte: Stories to telldirected by Carlos Pérez Osorio (The Taco Chronicles, The Three Deaths of Marisela Escobedo) and produced by José Nacif Gobera (Gimme the Power, we all want someone), is a production of Filmadora and Prime Video, which will arrive on June 17 exclusively on Prime Video to more than 240 countries and territories.
