LP gas price: for the fifth consecutive week it rises in CDMX

The price of LP gas in CDMX has not stopped rising so far in 2022, since between the week of February 6 and 12 it had its fifth week on the rise, according to data from the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE).

Therefore, during the next week the price of domestic gas in the country’s capital will be 22.97 pesos per kilogram, which represents an increase of 2.4 percent compared to the previous week.

In practical terms, a 20-kilo cylinder will go from 448.8 to 459.4 pesos, while in its 30-kilo presentation, the price will increase from 673.2 to 689.1 pesos.


In the case of stationary gas, the price will be 12.40 pesos per liter.

At the national level, the average price of LP gas was 23.40 pesos per kilogram, which will represent its highest level in the last 10 weeks.

During the next week the 32 entities of the country will reflect increases in the prices of LP gas.

The 10 states that will present, on average, the largest increases in the price of LP gas are Querétaro (7.9 percent), San Luis Potosí (5.2), Hidalgo (4.3), CDMX (2.4), State of Mexico (1.8), New León (1.7), Baja California Sur (1.5), Coahuila (1.4), Durango (1.3) and Tamaulipas (1.3).


The municipality of San Quintín in Baja California and that of Mulegé in Baja California Sur will handle the highest price in the country, since their inhabitants will have to pay 26.78 pesos per kilogram.

In contrast, the lowest prices can be found in various municipalities of Tamaulipas such as Matamoros, Reynosa, Río Bravo and Valle Hermoso, since the cost per kilogram will be 20.79 pesos.
