Manuel Valls announces that he is leaving his position as councilor at the Barcelona City Council

The councilor of the municipal group of BCN pel Canvi Manuel Valls announced this Tuesday that he is leaving the Barcelona City Council, as he announced last May, as he himself reported through his Twitter profile.

As he explained, he feels very honored to have been able to serve Barcelona during these two years and “proud to have stopped the independence movement.”

“It has been a period marked by the pandemic and I have tried to contribute to the municipal consensus. I will continue to defend the Catalan, Spanish and European capital BCN,” he added.

The municipal formation has thanked the former French Prime Minister for his “commitment to Barcelona”. “A colleague, a friend, a political leader is leaving. Barcelona is your home, thank you,” he added.
