Tim Cook’s residence in Palo Alto, California, is hidden in the maps applications of Apple and Google.
The Cult of Mac portal he even posted pictures of the apartment behind a pixelated wall.
The reason why both Google Maps and Apple Maps hid the residence of Cook, CEO of Apple and one of the richest executives in the technology sector in the United States, is unknown. The fortune of Cook, who has run Apple since 2011, is estimated at $1.5 billion. according to Forbes magazine.
However, the measure could be related to the restraining order that Santa Clara County issued against a woman who has stalked and harassed Cook since 2020.
According to the restriction, released by the San José Mercury News, the woman would have broken into Cook’s residence in Palo Alto, the same one that now appears hidden in the map applications.
According to the lawsuit, the woman claims that Cook is her husband and the father of two minor twins. She, too, would have sent a series of emails to Cook with which she sought to extort a $500 million payment from him.
However, the woman also took her harassment to social networks, where she even rebukes other top executives in the technology sector. According to Cult of Mac, the woman would have asked Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, to stop following Cook.
He also mistook Google CEO Sundar Pichai for a woman whom he accused of trying to meddle in his relationship with Cook.
