Maserati shows a sneak peek of the 2023 Grecale crossover | Digital Trends Spanish

Maserati revealed a group of new images of the Grecale, its next midsize crossover that will be revealed before the end of the first quarter of 2022. According to the Italian brand’s new vehicle launch plan, the Grecale would be presented and launched on the market in 2021 ; 2022 would be the year they would share their electric version. However, the pandemic and the shortage of semiconductors severely affected the plan.

Although the Maserati Grecale still shown covered, camouflage unusually revealing. In the images you can see the headlights, the taillights, the grill and the wheels, among other details that most manufacturers jealously protect from the eyes of the curious before officially showing their new models. The Grecale will be revealed as a 2023 model on March 22, four months after its originally planned launch date.

Another novelty in relation to camouflage are the hints printed on the graphics about some of the novelties that the new vehicle could bring. Under the main premise of “I am the Maserati Grecale and I can’t tell you much more”, the cover contains messages such as “More than **** mm of legroom. Yes, size matters.”

Official specs for the Grecale won’t be revealed until next month, but we know it will be smaller than the Levante and built on the same platform that underpins the Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

Apart from the electric version that Maserati talks about in its launch plan, it will probably offer a hybrid version in addition to the traditional one with internal combustion engine without electric assistance, which is expected to get four and six-cylinder engines with mild hybrid technology.

Like the Levante, its big sister, the Maserati Grecale will initially have three flavors to choose from, starting with the Grecale GT as the base version, the Grecale Modena in the middle of the line, and a mighty Grecale Trofeo topping the range.

We will give you more details as soon as they are revealed.
