Meduca trains 70 thousand parents in nine months of the ‘School for Parents’ program

The programSchool for parents‘2021, which trained in a virtual and face-to-face way more dand 70 thousand families, closed this Thursday, through the National Directorate of Community Education and Parents of the Ministry of Education (Meduca).

The attendants from the different educational regions participated, from March 26, 2021, in more than 200 topics focused on strengthening family and school ties, for a safe and face-to-face return to classes.

The face-to-face training sessions were held in the provinces of Colón and Bocas del Toro, with the support of the Open Doors Foundation and the Ministry of Security.

Among the topics discussed is biosafety in the return to school, psychoeducational support, school nutrition, management of the resources of the Equity and Quality of Education Fund (FECE), maintenance of educational centers and everything that implies the return to face-to-face classes by the year 2022.

The program managed to consolidate the groups of parents in the educational community, with the coordination of the 16 coordinators in each region of official and private schools and the liaisons of the National Directorate of Parents, which were the pillars in this project.
