Mexican businessman Alberto Baillères dies

Among the firms that are part of the conglomerate are Grupo Peñoles, Fresnillo, El Palacio de Hierro, GNP Seguros, Profuturo, Valmex, Valores Mexicanos Casa de Bolsa, Tane and Médica Móvil.

The information was confirmed by sources close to the company, and Daniel Becker, president of the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM), exposed it on his Twitter account.

It was in April 2021 that Bailleres Gonzalez, after 54 years at the head of Grupo Bal, he decided to retire and hand over the presidency of Grupo Bal to Alejandro Bailleres Gual.

Bailleres He trained as an economist at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).

Among his hobbies was bullfighting, and since 2016, together with a group of businessmen, he joined the management of the Monumental Plaza de Toros.
