MiAmbiente authorizes access to the protected areas of Chiriquí

After learning of the lifting of the Yellow and Green preventive alerts, recently issued by the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of the Environment (MiAmbiente) authorizes access to the protected areas of the province of Chiriquí.

The authorized areas are the following:

Barú Volcano National Park (path to the top through the Los Llanos checkpoint in the Tierras Altas district, and T-shirt district of Boquete).

La Amistad International Park (administrative headquarters).

La Barqueta Agrícola Beach Wildlife Refuge (administrative headquarters and El Jobo trail).

Golfo de Chiriquí National Marine Park, (follow the instructions of the security forces when setting sail).

MiAmbiente remember that to enter the Barú Volcano National Park, You must have a prior reservation, through email [email protected]

The population is urged to comply with biosecurity standards and what is established in the Park’s Public Use Plan.
