Minsa reduces isolation for positive cases of Covid-19 to 10 days and five days for close contact


The General Directorate of Public Health of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) issued Resolution 3132 of December 23, 2021, by means of which It is established in 10 days of isolation in case of testing positive for Covid-19 and five days of quarantine for people who have had close contact with a patient with coronavirus, this reduces the times previously established in 15 days of quarantine.

According to the established measures the person who has had close contact with a positive will have to keep a quarantine of five days from the date you had contact with the positive.

If symptoms appear, a rapid antigen test will be applied immediately. From the fifth day, another antigen test will be repeated. If negative, you will be released from quarantine.

The person without symptoms after contact with a positive should also be quarantined for five days. An antigen test and a PCR test will be administered immediately.
