The vice president of the Generalitat, Mónica Oltra, has again ruled out resigning and has criticized the report of the Prosecutor’s Office in the case of the alleged cover-up of abuse of a minor by an educator -her ex-husband- because she questions the “professionalism” of 13 people in her department and she believes it is possible that all of them, “each one of her father and mother, have lied to the judge” to protect her. For this reason, she has asserted: “she has not changed at all and even less after reading the report of the Prosecutor’s Office.”
Mónica Oltra appeals to the fact that the Valencian Superior Court has already refused to charge her and the lack of evidence persists
This was stated by Oltra in the press conference after the plenary session of the Consell in which she pointed out that “she does not know what the 13 people from the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies think” who declared, but she did state that “many of them They have been serving the administration for 20 years” and that the accusation of the Prosecutor’s Office is “questioning their professionalism.” She was asked if she was surprised by the tone of the letter, she added: “I would be lying if I said no.”
“If for the Prosecutor’s Office the truth of 13 people is implausible, in this country we have a problem. When the truth becomes unbelievable, this country has a problem”, she has stated. Likewise, Oltra has remarked that “there is no criminal offense” and has referred to his appearance before the Corts Valencianes on April 21, 2021.
“I agree with the prosecution that it is impossible for everyone to have been wrong. But perhaps the conclusion is that they were not wrong. Instead of thinking that there is a great conspiracy, how about we conclude the simplest thing, which is that they were not wrong? ”, He added.
Upon Oltra’s arrival, a group of about 10 people, including the leader of Spain 2000, José Luis Roberto, demanded the resignation of the vice president. She was asked if she thinks that this case is a conspiracy of the extreme right, she has asserted: “Look at it, they are there at the door.”
This Thursday, the document sent by the Valencia Prosecutor’s Office to the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV) was made known, in which it considers that this body is competent to instruct the case of the alleged cover-up of sexual abuse by Oltra’s ex-husband to a minor under guardianship.
Among other considerations, the Public Ministry considers that “a superficial, internal investigation was carried out, in which a line of concealment of the facts is perceived circumstantially.”
“Absolute respect” for justice
The president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has expressed his “absolute respect for Justice” when asked about the letter from the Prosecutor’s Office that attributes to the vice president of the Consell, Mónica Oltra, the guideline to hide the abuses by her ex-husband to a minor in care. In that letter known this Thursday from the Superior Prosecutor’s Office of the Valencian Community, it is added that this guideline was intended to “discredit the victim and distort her testimony, denying her credibility.”
The superior prosecutor, Teresa Gisbert, has sent that letter to the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV), in which she supports that this court investigate Oltra, as appraised, for the management of your department in this case.
