More than 400 people evicted by the Sierra Bermeja forest fire, in Malaga

More than 400 people have been evicted by the forest fire declared in Sierra Bermeja, in Jubrique (Malaga), as reported this Thursday by the coordinating center of “Emergencies 112 Andalusia”.

Fifteen of the evicted have been rehoused and cared for in the Pabellón del Carmen in Estepona. The evictions have been carried out in the areas of Forest Hill and Abejeras and level 1 of the Infoca Fire Fighting Plan has been activated.

The AP-7 motorway has been closed to traffic between kilometers 157 to 171 in the Cádiz direction, as have the MA-8301 and MA-8302 highways.

Some 200 personnel are working on the ground together with ten fire-fighting vehicles and with the first light of day two amphibious aircraft, one coordination aircraft and five helicopters will be incorporated.
