MWC 2022: Honor launches the Magic 4 Pro and its 100-watt fast charge | Digital Trends Spanish

After the launch of its 50 series —which reached 49 countries last year—, Honor arrives at Mobile World Congress 2022 to unveil its new range of cell phones: the Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro, which integrate the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen processor 1 and featured fast charging. It also presents its new smart watch and headphones, the Watch GS3 and the Earbuds 3 Pro.

“The Honor Magic 4 series are made up of premium devices and are a tangible display of our innovative technologies, as well as our proactive attitude in challenging industry standards,” emphasizes George Zhao, the head of the Device area at the company.

In addition to the new Qualcomm, the smartphone has 8 GB and 256 GB of storage, IP68 rating and a design inspired by the concept of house “the eye of the muse”.

Regarding its screen (2,848 x 1,312 pixels), the company indicates that it comes with a 6.81-inch four-curve LTPO display with ultra-thin bezels for an immersive visual experience and a comfortable grip. It also reports that its Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) of 1,920 Hz is the highest achieved in a panel of its kind (this contributes to a more comfortable visual experience even in low-light environments).

Other features include up to 1.07 billion colors on screen, intelligent refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz (adapts to different styles of content), automatic and real-time conversion from SDR to HDR, brightness of 1,000 nits and compatibility with HDR 10+.

The optical section is another of the elements that Honor most emphasizes on its new star cell phone and, in fact, puts it above the one that integrates the iPhone 13 Pro in most scenarios. The main camera is basically made up of two 50 MP sensors and a 64 MP periscopic telephoto sensor (3.5x optical zoom), both of which are powered by Ultra-Fusion computational photography: it allows producing precise high-definition images, even when taken from afar.

Video recording can be up to 4K 10-bit Log at 60 frames per second, which promises that users will get the highest quality and stable clips.

The Magic 4 Pro’s 4,600 mAh battery supports fast charging at home, which is now 100-watt SuperCharge, both wired and wireless. According to the manufacturer, the mobile reaches 100 percent of its capacity in just 30 minutes (without the intervention of cables, it reaches 50 percent in just 150 minutes).

Other specifications are: Magic UI 6.0 customization layer, call privacy by preventing sound leaks, 3D depth camera for accurate facial recognition and AI Super Rendering for high frame rate and efficient network connectivity without meaning more heat or higher latency.

The entry version of the new series, Honor Magic 4, shares most of the features of its older brother. The reductions are above all in the cameras and in fast charging.

As for its price, the phone with the best features reaches 1,100 euros, while the regular version is listed at 900 euros. Availability depends on each market.
