Netflix’s new ad-supported plan can’t be watched on Apple TV | Digital Trends Spanish

Netflix’s new ad-supported plan, which started on a select ten from countries like Mexicoit will not be possible to see it for now on Apple TV, since there is no compatibility.

A document of support confirms that Apple TV is not a device that supports Netflix Basic with Ads.

Netflix simply says that Apple TV customers on the ad plan will have to use another device to stream or upgrade their package to a more expensive ad-free paid tier.

Netflix with ads can be streamed on other Apple devices like iPhone and iPad, and Mac (via Safari).

However, in a statement, Netflix told 9to5Mac that Basic with support for ad plans is coming soon to Apple TV devices.

Netflix Basic with Ads is priced at $6.99 per month and has been released in countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Korea. The plan grants access to stream the Netflix library, on one device at a time, in 720p quality.
