Garmin is preparing its catalog for 2022, and thanks to a leak from a German site, we were able to see some of the company’s new smartwatches before the end of 2021.
In accordance with Winfuture, there will be refurbished models of the Fenix 7, Venu 2 Plus, Instinct 2, and Epix Gen2. The former will have some variables called the Fenix 7, Fenix 7S, and 7X, which will apparently be built with stainless steel and plastic parts. One of them, the 7S, will have a solar panel to recharge the battery, although for now there are no further details on the specifications.
Meanwhile, the smaller Garmin Instinct 2 will arrive in two versions (the normal and the 2S), both with an electronic ink screen that will show more basic information such as step count, heart rate or information about sleep.
For its part, the Garmin Venu 2 Plus has an OLED screen and the images say that it will have an extra physical button in relation to the current model, although there are no further details. And finally there is the Epix Gen2, perhaps the most resistant of all thanks to its materials: polycarbonate reinforced with fiberglass and stainless steel, with which it can be submerged up to 100 meters deep without any problem.
The second generation Epix comes with several sensors to record health data, not only heart rate or step count, but also a blood oxygen meter.
For now, all this information about the new Garmin models is preliminary, since the company’s plans would be to show these designs in glory and majesty at the next CES 2022, which will take place from January 5 to 8 in Las Vegas.
