On February 7, the application of the second pediatric dose against COVID-19 will begin

Almost a month after the application of doses of pediatric vaccines against Covid-19 began, to children between 5 and 11 years old, the Expanded Program on Immunization (PAI) reports that 85,098 of these doses have been placed.

The regions of Panama Metro with 30, 513; West Panama 13,618; San Miguelito 9,215 and Coclé with 6,480 are the ones that have applied the largest number of pediatric doses in the country.

Since last January 7, pediatric vaccination began for children between 5 and 11 years old in the country.

Starting this Monday, February 7, the application of the second dose will begin for children who have been given the first dose for a month.

As of that date, the Office of the First Lady will set up vaccination stations at the Omar Recreational and Cultural Park facilities for the placement of the second dose.

The EPI report indicates that in total in the country through Operation PanavaC-19, 7,214,236 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 have been applied.

Some regions such as San Miguelito reported that today they placed 1,608 doses (460 pediatric), as well as Herrera reported 388 doses placed and Veraguas 226.

The vaccination day for children from 5 to 11 years old, as well as for the application of booster doses from 16 years old, continues today at Los Andel mall and Albrook mall from 7 am to 3 pm; Soho mall, Mega mall, Alta plaza mall and Metro mall from 9pm-5pm.
