The young man remains in the ICU of the aforementioned hospital since last day 24, as sources from the hospital center confirmed to Efe on Tuesday. He is the only one admitted by COVID today in the city of Elche.

For their part, sources from the Ministry of Health have indicated that the young man is admitted to the Hospital of Elche, but they have not specified whether he is in the ICU claiming that they cannot give information on patients.

This person is one of the young people from Elche affected by the Covid macro outbreak registered in one of the end-of-year trips to Mallorca and they belong to several educational centers in Elche, both public, concerted and private.

As reported last week by the Councilor for Education of the Elche City Council, María José Martínez, most of these trips were not organized by the centers, but by the students themselves after completing the Selectividad exams.

Students who have tested positive and had recovery exams pending will do so electronically and in the case of the extraordinary selectivity tests in July, a possible change of date is being studied with the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) so that they can take them.

While it continues to carry out a control and monitoring of students who have arrived in the last days from other trips to perform the PCR tests.
