OnePlus Nord N200 Review: Best 5G Under $ 250

“The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is an inexpensive phone that has good performance and a regular camera and its greatest grace is its 5G chip and large battery.”

  • Excellent battery

  • 5G connectivity

  • Good price

  • Nice design

  • MicroSD slot

  • Headphone port

  • Regular camera

  • Has no water resistance

  • 5G only at T-Mobile in the United States

If you are looking for an inexpensive 5G phone, the OnePlus Nord N200 5G it may be for you. The latest device from OnePlus, At $ 239, it is exclusive to T-Mobile in the United States, although it can work with other networks if you don’t mind that it only uses the 4G network.

This phone, despite being cheap, maintains a design as elegant as that of the most expensive cell phones of the brand. In particular, its matte plastic casing feels good to grip.

The N200 5G has a 6.49-inch screen, a circle-shaped front camera, and a large 5,000 mAh battery that in my tests lasted more than a day, enough for most users, even gamers.

Of course, if you activate its 90 Hz refresh rate, your battery will drain faster, but the general operation of the phone will be very good.

The OnePlus Nord N200 5G has a Snapdragon 480 5G processor, a relatively new chip for budget phones, as well as being accompanied by 4GB of RAM. In my tests its performance was quite good, whether it was for surfing the internet or for playing games.

You should know that if you open many applications or run more functions in the background, it will not be the fastest cell phone in the Wild West or at home.

This phone includes 64 GB of storage, something that I did not love in this case, because it is largely occupied by system files; The positive side is that you can use microSD cards to expand the memory.

On the other hand, T-Mobile’s 5G connectivity worked fine and gave me good speeds. It works on the company’s sub-6 5G network, therefore it is not compatible with AT&T or Verizon. If you live outside the United States, check what 5G network your operator will have to see if this cell phone will be ideal for you or not.

Something that I loved is that this phone incorporates Android 11 and OnePlus guarantees three years of updates, which is a breakthrough in this area.

OnePlus Nord N200 5G camera

The OnePlus Nord N200 5G has three rear cameras:

  • 13 MP, f / 2.2
  • 2 MP, f / 2.4 (macro)
  • 2 MP, f / 2.4 (depth)

Using this device I found that although its camera looks great when we have good lighting, this changes quickly when taking photos in the dark. Portrait mode images look good, but night mode is definitely not its strong suit.

If you look at this gallery, you will realize that the photographs I took during the day have good colors, but the same does not happen with those taken at night.

For its price, this device has an equivalent camera, but of course its sensors are not as powerful as those of the brand new OnePlus 9, which came out a few months ago and whose cost, of course, is a little higher.

In comparison, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G is priced at $ 299 and four rear sensors that could prove slightly more beneficial at the end of the day, but your choice will depend on your budget.

The front camera is 16 MP and its photographs are beautiful, however, it will not be your best ally at night either.

The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is a good phone for its price. Its great battery, design and operation stand out, even if its camera is not the best. If you consider this phone because T Mobile It has a great offer, it is probably a good device to get your hands on, but you can always compare it to the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G which, although it has a lower screen, has good features.
