Oppo partners with camera maker Hasselblad | Digital Trends Spanish

Oppo follows in the footsteps of OnePlus. The manufacturer has just announced its partnership with the Swedish camera company Hasselblad.

Both companies have closed a three-year partnership agreement, where the plan is to improve mobile photography together, an agreement very similar to the one closed between OnePlus and the company last year. Let’s remember that Oppo and OnePlus joined forces recently, so this association of Hasselblad with Oppo was foreseeable.

As Oppo explains in its press release, the two brands will focus on advances in color treatment through its Hasselblad Camera for Mobile technology. The company notes that camera color performance has always been the main focus of development for Oppo and is itself “a part of Hasselblad’s DNA”.

The objective of this union is to create a photographic system capable of providing photos with more natural colors and a more advanced image experience. Leveraging Hasselblad’s natural color calibration, skin color in portrait mode photos is expected to be enhanced as well.

It is possible that the first Hasselblad camera integration for Oppo mobile devices will arrive with the brand’s next flagship phone, which could be the Oppo Find X5 Pro. In this new phone we could also see the new Neural Processing Unit (NPU) MariSilicon X developed by the company.

Oppo has already confirmed that its next flagship phone will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and that it will arrive before the end of March.
