Classic arcade fans Pac Man will have news in the coming months, as Wayfarer Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment have partnered to develop a live-action movie based on the video game franchise, as can be confirmed dead line.
It would be the first time that the classic yellow ghost-eater will be on the big screen. The character has previously stimulated the creation of two television series: the Saturday morning cartoon Pac Man from Hanna-Barbera, which aired on ABC from 1982 to 1983, and the CG animated series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventureswhich debuted on Disney XD in 2013.
The new movie of Pac Man comes from an original concept by Chuck Williams (sonic the hedgehog) from Lightbeam Entertainment, who will produce with Tim Kwok for Lightbeam, along with Justin Baldoni, Manu Gargi and Andrew Calof on behalf of Wayfarer Studios.
Wayfarer Studio recently announced a $125 million investment to fuel further strategic growth.
