Arif Alvi, who is currently serving as President of Pakistan, called for more training in emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity while meeting with a delegation of Blockchain technology experts.

In an announcement made on Monday, Alvi said that Pakistan’s talent pool must be prepared to meet the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which includes the use of Blockchain technology in the public and private sectors. According to the Pakistani president, the technology could be used as a government tool to track transactions, reduce corruption and increase transparency. Among the panel of experts was SV advocate Jimmy Nguyen, founding president of the Bitcoin Association.
