Panama begins homeland month without reporting victims of Covid-19

The Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that no deaths were registered in Panama on November 1 as a consequence of Covid-19, which represents the seventh day of this year without victims from this virus.

The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, during a civic event at the facilities of the Minsa to celebrate the beginning of the month of the fatherland, he called on the population not to lower their guard and continue with biosecurity measures on national holidays.

He stressed that during the pandemic the Health team He has worked without pause, for which he thanked all the collaborators for this support to the country.

Epidemiological Report

The epidemiology department of the Minsa reports that in the world there are 246,830,571 accumulated cases of Covid-19 and 5,001,991 deaths for a fatality rate of 2%.

In Panama, as of November 1, 2021, a total of 472,736 accumulated confirmed cases are registered, of which 72 are new. There were no deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and the cumulative death toll is 7,317.

Those recovered amount to 463,321 with 146 new recovered; 3,252 tests were applied for a positivity of 2.2%.

Active cases are counted in 2,098, of which 1,935 are in home isolation and 163 hospitalized. Those who are in home isolation were distributed in 1851 at home and 84 in hotels and those hospitalized were 130 in wards and 33 in ICU.
