Panama receives new shipment of 100,620 doses of Pfizer vaccines

A new shipment with 100,620 new doses of vaccines from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer arrived this Tuesday, November 9, to continue the vaccination process carried out by Operation PanavaC-19 throughout the national geography.

This batch of Pfizer, number 42, was received by the director of the Health Region of Panama Oeste, Kevin Cedeño.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) indicated that this week the vaccination process at the national level would be restarted to continue advancing with the strategy contemplated in the Operation PanavaC-19.

Starting next Thursday, November 11, the Operation PanavaC-19 extends to circuit 8-1, Arraiján and the 8-10 circuit in Panama East for the application of the booster dose to people over 55 years of age.

Also, in circuit 12-2 in lto Comarca Ngäbe Buglé We will also proceed with the application of doses against Covid-19 through the scanning modality from the age of 12.

The National government reminds citizens to continue with biosecurity measures, such as the use of a mask, face shield, alcohol gel or alcohol, maintain physical distance and ensure constant hand washing. If you have symptoms related to the virus, you should immediately seek care and undergo a Covid-19 test.
