Panama was among the 100,000 organizations at the 2021 ESRI Global User Conference for addressing complex workflows and processes in the global emergency caused by COVID-19.
In this sense, he was awarded the “Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award” which was received by the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre and the Administrator of the Government Innovation Authority (AIG)
Minister Sucre stated during the event that significant progress has been made in the implementation of a technological platform for the Development of a Digital Government with a view to transparency, efficiency and public trust.
Rocío Vega, Country Manager for ESRI in Panama, officially presented the award which seeks to highlight the outstanding work with information systems technology.
Telemedicine and systems to capture vaccinated people are among the technologies that Panama has incorporated.
It should be noted that the country becomes a technological benchmark in the Americas by deploying a series of strategies to plan the operational response in a profitable manner in record time, which analyze the different situations and thus support decision-making.
