Panama reports 3,150 new cases of COVID-19; 26.6% positivity

The report of Department of Epidemiology of the Minsa reveals that in the world there are 375,847,408 confirmed accumulated cases of Covid-19, 295,009,693 recovered people and 5,683,400 deaths are reported for a lethality of 1.5%.

In Panama, 700,274 confirmed accumulated cases of Covid-19 were reported for this Monday, January 31, 2022, of which 3,150 are new cases.

In the last 24, 15 deaths are reported and one of previous dates is updated for an accumulated number of deaths. 7,732 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%.

The total number of recovered people amounts to 631,135, of which 10,394 are reported as newly recovered.

In the last hours, 11,832 tests were applied for a positivity of 26.6%.

Active cases total 61,407, of which 60,603 are in home isolation and 804 hospitalized.

Those in home isolation are divided into 60,347 at home and 256 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 722 in the ward and 82 in the ICU.

The Ministry of Health reminds the population DO NOT LET YOUR GUARD DOWN and continue to apply biosafety measures, such as the use of a mask, alcohol gel, a face shield in public passenger transport, hand washing, physical distancing, and the use of alcohol.
